The 5 Sutras of the Aquarian Age: Guiding Lights For Our Changing World
Nov 20, 2025
If you’ve felt like the world has been shifting beneath your feet these last few years… you’re not imagining it, and you are not alone. We’re living through a massive energetic transition, one that astrologers, mystics, and yogis call the Age of Aquarius—a time of elevated consciousness, collective awakening, and big, often messy, evolutionary leaps.
And with so much change swirling around us, it’s easy to feel overstimulated, unsteady, or unsure of your next step.
But here’s the beautiful part: we are not meant to navigate this moment alone or without tools.
Kundalini yoga (the lineage that I teach) offers a powerful roadmap for these times called The 5 Sutras of the Aquarian Age. They are little one-line teachings that hold massive wisdom. I like to think of them as energetic anchors… tiny mantras that realign you with truth when life feels chaotic or uncertain.
Let’s explore them.
1. “Recognize that the other person is you.”
This sutra asks us to see beyond separation, judgment, and ego.
In a world that’s become both more connected and more reactive, I believe this message can be beautifully comforting.
Every person you meet mirrors something inside you:
- The brilliance you admire
- The tenderness you feel about something or someone
- The shadow you’re still healing
When we remember that we are all reflections, compassion becomes our natural response. We soften. We see more clearly. We start to lead with our hearts instead of our defenses. And from that place? Relationships deepen. Conversations open. Healing becomes possible.
2. “There is a way through every block.”
One of my favorite truths. Because life will bring many challenging events we wouldn’t necessarily choose for ourselves—transition, illness, heartbreak, reinvention, the unexpected plot twists, but we get to choose how we respond to these obstacles/events, and we can choose to be solution-oriented and accept what is and move forward accordingly, with resiliency.
This sutra reminds us that when we pause, breathe, and rise into a higher level of awareness, solutions emerge. The block isn’t a dead end. It’s an invitation to expand. To grow stronger roots and wider wings.
There is a way through—always, and adopting this belief (if you haven’t already) can only lead to a better life experience and to better outcomes.
3. “When the time is on you, start, and the pressure will be off.”
How many times have you waited for the perfect moment?
The perfect plan?
The perfect certainty?
We all do it. But pressure builds in the waiting.
This sutra whispers, Beloved, just begin. Take one step. Make the call. Start the practice. Open the door.
The magic isn’t in perfect timing—it’s in the willingness to move.
Action clears stagnant energy. Action relieves pressure. Action tells the universe, I’m ready.
And when you start, the next step can reveal itself.
4. “Understand through compassion, or you will misunderstand the times.”
We’re living in fast, turbo-emotionally charged times. It’s easy to get swept up in fear, frustration, and/or the noise of the world.
Compassion is a clarifying lens. It keeps us grounded, intuitive, and tuned into what really matters.
Understanding through compassion doesn’t mean bypassing or ignoring your boundaries—it means meeting yourself and others with tenderness instead of reactivity. It means pausing long enough to see the human beneath the perhaps “bad” behavior.
Compassion expands us. Without it, everything feels contracted and personal. With it, everything becomes an opportunity for growth and learning.
5. “Vibrate the cosmos, and the cosmos shall clear the path.”
This is the sutra of frequency—your power source.
When you chant, breathe deeply, meditate, or choose thoughts that elevate you, your vibration rises. And a higher vibration naturally organizes your life in a beautiful way. Opportunities open. People appear. The path clears.
This isn’t magic (well… maybe a little). It’s energy.
Your frequency is your message to the universe. Make it intentional. Make it aligned. Make it loving and open-hearted.
I believe these five sutras are not just ancient teachings—they’re modern wisdom for the times we are in. They help us navigate transitions, relationships, business decisions, motherhood, aging, intuition, and the journey back home to ourselves.
We’re living through an era of profound transformation. And yes, it can feel like a lot. But we really are equipped. We are supported.
We are wired for exactly this moment in history.
My invitation is to return to these sutras when life gets noisy. Let them guide you on your unique path, your next step, your next conversation.
Let them remind you that you are connected, capable, compassionate, and powerful—and that the universe responds when you vibrate from your truth.
And most of all… Let them lead you back to yourself, to your inherent worthiness and wholeness.
Sending so much love from my heart to yours,
xoxoxo, Liz
